MORE ABOUT 'ALICES RESTAURANT'
You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant! Arlo Guthrie stars as himself in this counterculture classic based on his famous 18-minute talking blues song. When Arlo and his friend Roger (Geoff Outlaw) try to help Alice Brock (Pat Quinn) by disposing of her garbage on Thanksgiving Day, they run afoul of Officer Obie (William Obanhein) and find themselves arrested for littering. This seemingly minor offense leads to hilarious complications when Arlo tries to enlist in the Army during the Vietnam War era. Along the way, he visits his ailing father, folk legend Woody Guthrie, and navigates the changing American landscape of the late 1960s.
Directed by Arthur Penn and featuring Arlo Guthrie, Pat Quinn, James Broderick, and Pete Seeger, 'Alice's Restaurant' is a folk-comedy masterpiece that captures the spirit of a generation. Experience the Alice's Restaurant Massacre in a whole new way and test your knowledge of 1960s counterculture, folk music history, and this beloved film with our incredibly fun free online trivia game!
