MORE ABOUT 'WAITRESS'
If only life were as easy as pie! Keri Russell stars as Jenna Hunterson, a small-town waitress and expert pie baker stuck in an unhappy marriage with her abusive husband Earl (Jeremy Sisto). When Jenna discovers she's pregnant, her already complicated life gets even more tangled as she begins an affair with her new gynecologist, Dr. Jim Pomatter (Nathan Fillion), while plotting her escape from her marriage. With support from her fellow waitresses Becky (Cheryl Hines) and Dawn (Adrienne Shelly), and the curmudgeonly diner owner Joe (Andy Griffith), Jenna searches for happiness and strength to change her life, one pie at a time.
Written and directed by Adrienne Shelly as her final project before her tragic death, and starring Keri Russell, Nathan Fillion, Cheryl Hines, and Andy Griffith in his final film role, 'Waitress' is a sweet and poignant comedy-drama filled with quirky characters and mouthwatering pies.
