In 'Hang 'Em High' (1968), Clint Eastwood stars as retired lawman Jed Cooper, who is falsely reprimanded and hanged by a posse of 9 men (led by Bruce Dern as Reno and Ed Begley as Captain Wilson)! After being freed by Marshal Dave Bliss (Ben Johnson), and exonerated and rehired as a lawman by Judge Adam Fenton (Pat Hingle), Eastwood goes off to arrest the men that did him wrong. Duels, hangings, and even a romance with Rachel Warren (Inger Stevens) ensue!
